Keep Calm and Collected

| 03 March 2010
Stories in the news are terrifying. People are fighting against each other for small up to huge reasons and even killing and destroying each other. Worst scenario is, couples are fighting and are forced to accept the dark consequences of their actions. For instance, there is a story that would explain what I meant. Husband and wife are traveling for a vacation. They brought with them their only child and was seated between them in the car. While they are on their way to their destination, they were fighting over a sensitive issue. The husband kept on attacking the wife with painful and degrading words. The wife did the same. Their only child who is four years old at that time was just playing for something. That something was noticed by the husband and threw the same to his wife after hearing some accusations. The sad this is, the thing hit the head of their only child and caused brain defect due to the impact of throwing. For a lifetime, the husband and wife has to witness everyday the effect of their angst that time.

Stories like this one are common nowadays. Personally, I always remind myself to remain calm and collected especially in times of distress. I used to divert myself to other things when I am angry. Until this day, I am still developing the art of controlling myself and deal with anger wisely. To keep calm and collected is not an easy task, but the rewards are great. You will be able to focus on the positive sides of the situation. After all, it is always right to be guarded.
