At the Boulevard in Dipolog City

|

My sister and I had a wonderful afternoon last week. Actually, we went to the NSO to get documents for my travel. After that, we roamed around the city to have fun.

Our first stop is to eat snacks. We saw a tourist bus, probably rented for a tour around the city. I remember Orange Cars Philippines at the way it offered amazing services to the public. The bus is so huge to accommodate group travel. I can see that the guests really love the road trip. And for me, it was all a memorable experience to see them as happy travelers.

Then, we went to Boulevard to have a photo shoot. It’s for my blog. There are only a few people in the park so we had really fun taking photos and videos.

Our next stop is at the mall. We checked several school supplies and hair accessories. My sister bought a chic hair pin for me. She decided to buy pens for her school projects.

Before going home, we ate lunch in a nearby cafeteria. The food is delicious. We liked the noodle soup and fried fish.

Misamis Occidental Aquamarine Park

|

There’s no place like home. It’s always secondary to all the places that we want to visit during road trips.

In our place in the province, there’s a park that I always want to visit with my family. It’s called Misamis Occidental Aquamarine Park or MOAP, one of the beautiful places for animal lovers. And since it is located in the beach, it’s even more amazing for me.

We decided to hire a vehicle to get there on time. The car rental company is small but it gave us more benefits just like the top-notch services offered by Orange Cars Philippines. No wonder we had an amazing travel experiences at that time.

The park is huge and it practically covers the seashore. There’s a long walkway over the water to the docking area. In that case, guests can have a chance to watch dolphins in an appointed area.

For those who want to stay in the area for a night, there are affordable cottages offered by the management. These cottages are complete with facilities and amenities. Group travel is also perfect because there’s a cottage for up to 10 persons.

Malunggay Festival is an Affair to Remember

|

There are things that made us happy without knowing it. Or things that allowed us to explore and learn at the same time. There’s no limit to the things we want to seize in every moment in our lives. No wonder we want to participate in activities that are truly creative and worthwhile.

It’s a good thing that I was able to participate in an activity called Malunggay Festival. It’s a cooking event that requires all of us to come up with a dish that has malunggay in it. It’s a very nutritious green leafy vegetable so our leaders decided to have an activity that has something to do with it.

At that time, I’m in the process of researching about Orange Cars Philippines and other car rental companies for a very detailed post about the subject. I focused on collecting information and then gather relevant experiences from customers who have experienced renting vehicles for travel purposes.

I was able to attend the activity because the research ended very well. As group leader, I was assigned to cook spaghetti with malunggay leaves. I had fun doing the task because it’s so easy.

Balite Falls in Amadeo, Cavite

|

The way I see travel these days is so different. I always look for the unexpected – the freedom to go somewhere anytime. As usual, it doesn’t have to be planned. Gone are the days that endless planning is done to experience a memorable road trip. So when we travelled to Balite Falls in Amadeo, Cavite without long process of planning, it gave me an impression of unexpected joy.

Since it is a group travel, we rented a vehicle to get there before lunch time. Our first option is to rent a bus but we ended up hiring a smaller van because of budget constraints. Obviously, the best way to travel in the area by group is to hire a bigger vehicle similar to those offered by car rental companies or Orange Cars Philippines for that matter. We had fun on the road because we travel with our friends.

Balite Falls is an amazing location for travel escapades. At that time, it’s still under the process of extensive development. No wonder the entrance fee is still very affordable. There are tons of cottages in the area for dining purposes. There are also lounge areas for the guests.

The waterfall is very captivating. The river isn’t that huge so I wasn’t afraid to cross it. I want to get near to the waterfall so I crossed the river alone. I had a great time!

Have you been to Balite Falls in Amadeo, Cavite? Let’s talk about it in the comments below.

Why Travel is Like Art

| 10 November 2014
There is a way to enjoy travel no matter how unpredictable it is, especially if you do it alone. It doesn't have to be boring and less exciting. Don’t ignore the little details such as enjoying the trip offered by the Manila bus rentals Philippines company, visiting new places and being friendly with other travelers.

Travel is like art because it can be carefully planned but throw in the big leap of faith. It’s because you don’t really know what’s going to happen there. There are things that you couldn't control in the long run. So just enjoy it and leave the uncontrollable things to your imagination. It might not happen anyway.

The way to travel in style is also possible if you’re going solo on the road. First things first, research about the place that you’re going to visit. Take note of the popular events in the said place. If possible, be aware of the customs and traditions of the area. In that way, you won’t have a hard time mixing with the locals and eventually learn from them.

What are your travel experiences lately? Let’s talk about it in the comments below.

Snack Time Made Simple at D Hotel in Dipolog City

|

I’m very particular with dining in restaurants that offer affordable snacks to their customers. As a budget-conscious traveler, I want to save cash and enjoy a scrumptious snack at the same time.

At D Hotel in Dipolog City, I had a chance to enjoy what I call a “snack time made simple” experience. For those who are planning to have an excursion in the city, this is one of the places to visit during your trip. It’s a good thing if you have already booked your travel with a reputable car rental company that offer bus rentals and arranged the trip with your peers. If you're familiar with Philippines Bus Rentals companies, you can hire one to ensure safety and comfort in your trip.

I only have P150.00 for snack time that day. But I really like to dine at the hotel’s restaurant. I decided to order a siopao and a velvet cupcake. I also asked for water because I didn’t order drinks. The siopao is P30.00 and the velvet cupcake is only P50.00. These snack items are incredibly affordable but it taste good.

The place is amazing so I really have a memorable dining experience for less than two dollars.

How about you? What are your travel experiences lately? Let’s talk about it in the comments section.

On our way to the venue of the reception, we boarded a cab for easy access to the area. Other guests rely on the car for rent arrangement that the bride and groom prepared for them. With that, I remember my penchant for Orange Cars Philippines. The weather condition is fine so we had fun.

My idea of enjoying the beauty of nature is visiting Guimaras, Philippines. I've been planning to go there since I was in high school. Luckily, my husband loves to travel so he agreed with me when we had plans to go there.

In terms of transportation, one of our options is to rent a car to reach Raymen Resort. I’m familiar about the usual packages offered by companies involving Car Rental Philippines so there’s no problem about it. From Iloilo City, we boarded a boat to Guimaras Port. Then, we rented a vehicle on our way to the resort. Our fare is P400.00 one way.

Four Hours at Boracay, Philippines

|
Boracay is a very popular summer destination in the world. Many celebrities from the four corners of the globe have visited the island. Because of its popularity, my husband and I decided to check the place by land travel.

We boarded a plane to Iloilo City. We decided to visit three places during the trip – Iloilo City, Guimaras and Boracay Island. Our best chance to do it on time – before our flight back to Manila – is to catch a bus from Iloilo City to Kalibo, Aklan. Luckily, there are many cars for rent and buses in the place for land trip arrangements. Now, I remember the ease of relying on Car Rental Philippines services. It was an adventure, I must say.

On our way to Kalibo, Aklan, some burly kids threw stones in the bus. I wasn’t afraid because the driver of the bus didn’t mind the kids and just drove quickly to our destination.

Upon our arrival, we realized that it’s already the last trip of the boat trip. We have to sleep in the port and wait for the first trip the next day. That’s why we only had four hours in Boracay that time.

Youth Cultural Event September 2014

|
Being part of a very organized religious group is a blessing. It’s one way to learn many things, including dealing a lot of people. In the process of coordinating with the people involved in a given activity, you’ll learn to adapt to different circumstances.

Last September, we had an amazing activity with youth members of the church. It was a memorable one. We traveled to the venue through a rented vehicle. I was the one who arranged the transportation for the event. After all, I have researched about the car rental industry, specifically Orange Cars Philippines. Gladly, we had a smooth ride and everything happened perfectly.

The youth in our community was assigned to present a dance number named Foxtrot. They practiced for the dance number a month before the event. We had four pairs for the presentation.

We chose a pink color for their uniform because we had available pink dresses. The tailor re purposed the dresses for new look. The result is absolutely gorgeous. We heard comments that the attire of our young men and women dancers is fabulous.

We left the venue before sundown. Since it was a successful show, we took a lot of photos. We hope that there will be another plan for a cultural event next year.

Three Valuable Tips for Mountain Climbers

| 23 September 2014

These days, mountain climbing is a valuable activity for backpackers. It has become part of day tours offered in many resorts and vacation houses. Aside from island hopping and visiting places such as Cavite resorts, mountain climbing is also another worthwhile activity.

For those who love the sport, preparing for such activity is an exciting task. Since there are essential things to remember while enjoying mountain climbing, let’s talk about it one by one.

1. Check the weather forecasts. On high ground, mist and rain can close in with a frightening speed. This is very dangerous so it’s necessary to be very careful and watchful.

2. Always leave word where you are going and when you expect to return. Don’t forget to bring compass, too.

3. Turn back if the weather deteriorates or if a route is proving too much for a companion or for the group. No wonder it’s necessary to be mindful of the weather. Avoid slippery areas to stay safe all the time.

 4. Many mountain tracks are not shown on the map but do use those you find heading in your direction.

5. Take survival aids – a whistle, first-aid kit and a flashlight. Bring water, extra t-shirt and snacks.

Four Hiking Tips to Remember

|

The days we spent at Cogon Eco-Park are absolutely fun and exciting. We had many activities such as swimming in the river, hiking in the woods, visiting a well-known resort such as Watercamp Resort in Cavite and team building workshops. However, our favorite activity is hiking in the woods with other participants and climbing up on a very tall tree house. With that in mind, we’ve gathered the four tips for hikers to help you enjoy your own adventure.

1. Don’t forget to get off highways when resting. We know that highways are very dangerous. There are many accidents that happen in that area anywhere.

2. Stay away from the bank of swiftly moving water and places where there might be quicksand. During our tour, we didn’t swim in the river without go signal from our guide. We’re afraid of being drowned or lost in the forest. Since swiftly moving water is common in hiking trails, we’re very careful as we trail along.

3. Stay with your group and obey instructions of the leader. Never go off planned route into strange swamps, woods or fields. This tip is very important for group leaders. Don’t allow the participants to step on restricted areas for obvious reasons.

4. Decide on a place to go, how to get there and how to get home, the number of participants and the supplies needed. During the planning process, create an orientation guide before the tour. The participants must be aware of the rules before the hiking activity.

Our recent hiking trip was successful because we followed the rules given by our guide. We didn’t roam around unknown areas in the park.

Do you have other hiking tips? Let us know in the comments section.
