Lessons Learned For The Season

I have nothing to share, I thought, but when I remembered my latest job interview I realized so many things. There are various lessons learned for this season. I decided to work again in a law firm in order to refresh myself of the legal world. I have been into writing lately and I thought I need to focus more on any future legal profession. That way, I will never do the same mistake again of neglecting my very first dream.

It was already seven in the morning when the contact person for the job informed me of the change of appointment time. From two thirty in the afternoon, it was moved to ten in the morning because the lawyer who will interview me needs to attend a court hearing in the afternoon. I learned a lesson that not all job interviews are fixed in a single time for appointments. It could change and it never crossed my mind. I was too confident that I have all the time in the world.

One of the lessons learned for the season is to avoid being late. Because the appointment time was changed, I ran out of time preparing myself. Hence, I hurried and went to the venue as fast as I could. Yes, I was late for an hour. Luckily, the lawyer who will interview me seemed nice. After all, it was them who changed the time without informing me the day before the interview as scheduled. But then, it is never right to be late in a job interview. I was just lucky that time.

During the interview, my confidence blinded me that I forgot to bring all the necessary documents for the interview. I handed my resume, but I failed to enclose a diploma or a transcript of records. The lawyer needs proof that I really graduated LLB then. Since there is nothing that I can do, I thought of bringing the conversation to a more related scenario that could save me at the moment. Luckily, the lawyer acceded to my bubbly alibi. Then again, I should have prepared all the necessary papers before going to the job interview. I was lucky again that I was able to turn the tide in my favor.


The last thing is the examination process. For all my jobs, I rarely took the examination proper. The employer will just let me skip such process. It gives a boost to my confidence which almost failed me in that latest job interview. The lawyer asked me to write a complaint against a borrower who failed to perform his obligation to pay his debt. I was startled at first, not only because I was not able to review the exact legal form, but also my concern of time constraints. I still have other important matters to accomplish after the interview. I was lucky again, because when I mentioned to the lawyer that I can write every legal form and pleadings necessary, and that it was one of my expertise, he believed me right away. And so, the examination proper became out of the question. Lessons learned, I must be prepared for everything and be mindful of all possibilities. I was just lucky that I got the job for just ten minutes interview.

Getting a Messy Bun

Most Hollywood movies and its lead stars prefer a messy bun while performing their tasks to make the movie plot interesting. What makes a messy bun interesting? A messy bun looks perfect during the day, at night, at work, and while in school. For any day you want, a messy bun looks great. It could also be a choice during a girl’s bad hair days, lazy days, and even busy days. Why? A messy bun is easy to fix and it takes only a few minutes to do so. Here are the steps in sporting a messy bun.

Step One. You can start by sweeping the front part of your hair to one side as to make a fuller crown area. Fingers can be used along with a paddle brush to direct both sides to the back of the head.

 Step Two. Then, gather your hair into a loose pony and lock with painless elastic with the sides and back. It is essential that the base of the pony should rest in the middle of the back of the head. Push your pony up a little to effect fullness at the top of your head. Put some hairspray.

Step Three. Next, you should separate the pony into one inch sections, curling each section in a loose manner. Just get some waves and doing it carelessly is all right. You may hold the curler for about three seconds, depending on the hair thickness.

Step Four. Once each section is curled, you may use a bobby pin to lock the curl loosely against your scalp. When pinning the curls, it is necessary to place some pins at the top in order to form an even and balanced shape.

Step Five. Finally, after pinning the curls, use your fingers to carefully loosen up the curls, making it look messy. Apply some hair spray and you’re done!

Getting a messy bun is really easy and fun. The effect is elegant and regal. No wonder most girls look sexy in having a messy bun.

It is not denied that couples may face relationship problems in the future. Human as they are, their love is subject to some tests to endure to the end. Volcanic Ash in Iceland

Another volcanic ash caused devastating effects just recently. The volcanic ashes caused several flights to be disrupted across Northern Europe. In UK, there was an order to ground all flights because of the safety risk posed by the Icelandic ash. Various flights in UK, Norway, Sweden, and Ireland were canceled and several airports in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Glasgow was closed due to the volcanic ash in Iceland.

It has been said that volcanic ash in Iceland is a threat to aviation safety. In other words, volcanic ashes are primarily hazardous to aviation operations. Volcanic ash are plumes of dust spewed out by volcanoes usually contain tiny particles of glass, pulverized rock and silicates. The result is a cloud of material resembling sandpaper. There are myriad reasons why volcanic ash is hazardous to aviation operations. First, the abrasive affect of the ash can both strip vital surfaces and bung up an engine. Concerns about visibility is just even a minor issue compared to this one. Second, it is most likely that pulverized rock colliding at high speed with a speeding jetliner can blast away surfaces inside the engine. Lastly, aircraft avionics and electronics can also be damaged. In order to avoid accidents while on flight, authorities must accurately detect volcanic ash and allow the crew to be aware of it as soon as possible. 

It has been reported that the cause of volcanic ash to spread is the eruption under the Eyjafjallajokull glacier. According to Pall Einarsson who is a geophysicist at the University of Iceland, the seismographs are showing that since this morning the intensity of the eruption seems to be growing. There are also damages around the area. It was reported by the local media that to the east of the volcano, thousands of hectares of land are covered by a thick layer of ash while a cloud blotted out the sun in some areas along the southern coast of Iceland. Besides, hot fumes had melted up to a third of the glacial ice covering the crater, which caused a nearby river to burst its banks, and frequent explosions on the floor of the crater sounded like bombs going off. According to Yahoo News, about 700 people from rural areas near the volcano were evacuated Thursday due to flash flooding, as water carrying icebergs the size of small houses rushed down the mountain. Although most evacuees were allowed to return home after the floods subsided, more flash floods are expected as long as the volcano keeps erupting. Indeed, the volcanic ash in Iceland caused tremendous effects to the people around the area and the aviation industry.

Kim Nam Gil and His Meteoric Rise To Stardom

As a regency blogger, I always feature successful people who reign in their own field of endeavor after several attempts of proving themselves that they cam make it. This time, we will give Kim Nam Gil his part of the spotlight. Kim Nam Gil is a Korean star who was previously known as Lee Han. In 2008, he decided to use his real name as his stage name and continued penetrating the entertainment industry. His television shows include Be Strong Geum Soon, Goodbye Solo, Lovers, When Spring Comes, Several Questions That Make Us Happy, Terroir, Queen Seon Deok, and Bad Guy. He also worked as an actor for movies such as Low Life, Don't Look Back, No Regrets, Modern Boy, Portrait of a Beauty, Kang Jul Chung: Public Enemy 1-1, Hand Phone, and Lovers Vanished.

Kim Nam Gil gained his meteoric rise to stardom when he played the role of Bidam in The Great Queen Seon Deok drama series. Behind the success of Queen Seon Deok, Kim Nam Gil received several awards such as Best Newcomer Award during the latest Baeksang Awards, Best Couple Award with Lee Yo Won and Male Excellence Award at the latest MBC Drama Awards. From then on, he received several offers for commercials, television shows, and other entertainment spotlights. Kim Nam Gil also promoted coffee brand BABA with a twist in his character in Queen Seon Deok. Aside from that, Kim Nam Gil also recorded Can't I Love You to express some feelings out of his character as Bidam for the television series Queen Seon Deok. Kim Nam Gil and his meteoric rise to stardom is amazing since he did it with charm and gratitude in mind. In addition, Kim Nam Gil's last television series Bad Man saddened most of his fans. He will start his mandatory military service for two years this coming June.

- I came to the US to do a photo shoot for a French fashion magazine. I was very excited because this is my first trip to America. The first stop was Las Vegas, which we used as a shoot location. We also shot at the Grand Canyon.

- At home in Korea, I have been active with an organization that helps children who suffer from multiple handicaps. They truly need special attention and we need to make sure they aren’t overlooked.

-  They said that Bi-dam, unlike other characters who would be fully explained from the beginning of the story, would suddenly appear and make himself understood in just two episodes. So they told me a lot about how he lived his life, how he grew up and everything in general, but I increasingly thought he was like a character from comics. I had been wondering what sort of image he had but “Slam Dunk” came across my mind because I had read it sometime around then.

- My mind will be at peace when I’m working when my family is happy and my fan page is where people who enjoy my acting or the dramas or films I worked on gather. So if I think of my fan page as my house, I’m the head of the household. That’s why I call myself ‘dad’, my female fans ‘daughters’ and male fans ’sons’ but I’ve recently gained more sons with “Seon-deok”. My own dad came up to me and said, “If they’re your sons, am I your son too?”

My Regency Travel

My regency travel lately is full of excitement! The destination is not so popular and found in the highlands. They said that the place is nice and I wondered if there are still places around the metro that is so natural and comely. I used to live in such places during my younger years and swimming in the river is one of my hobby. On our way to the location, I was amazed seeing those numerous houses in different colors and styles. There was a small river with many ducks swimming in it. My regency travel ended as a surprise when we reached our destination that day.
At around seven in the morning, we reached the place. The area is so big and the surrounding is superb. The entrance is just simple yet comely. There was a small guest house near the gate and the owner of the resort said that there are only two available rooms at that time. In order to reach the water falls, we need to pass by our chosen cottage and go down in the river. The whole area is indeed clean and there are only few people enjoying the view. There are different kinds of cottages anywhere the area. The water is cool and most people went to the shallow part of the river.

What is surprising is that the area is like a valley and yet people still wants to visit there. Actually, it is like a hidden valley! There are no available stores within the vicinity of the resort hence, it is essential to bring your own food and other necessities. There are also natural spring fountain in the area which are made of bamboo. With the pictures below, my regency travel escapade is worth it.

The Best of Life

This spiritual message is worth pondering for. The story is about an affluent father and his son. They live in a big beautiful house full of paintings. Both father and son love painting and their collections are displayed in their home. For both father and son, the best of life is enjoying all the things they were blessed with and sharing with those who are in need. The irony started when the son has to attend to a military combat abroad.

After several months, the father received a notice that his son was already dead. According to the news, his son died in action while saving and carrying a wounded comrade in the military. The father wept and felt so sad when his son left him alone. His house became gloomy and his life was very much affected by it. One day, a man knocked in the main door of his house. The visitor gave him a painting of his lost son. It turned out that the visitor is the same person his son saved while in combat. The visitor painted the portrait of his son despite his lack of skill in memory of his kindness. The father offered to pay the painting, but the visitor declined. It was a gift for the old man out of gratitude for his kind son. For the visitor, the best of life can be showed in gratitude and respect.

The old man died leaving all his properties behind to his administrators. He left a will and testament asking his estate administrators to hold an auction for his paintings. All of his paintings are expensive, except for one, the portrait of his son. While in the auction, the portrait of his son was presented for bidding. No one wants to bid such painting. The people present in the auction hall wanted the other paintings to be presented for bidding. However, the auctioneer wanted only to present the portrait of the old man's son. Later on, someone placed a bid for fifteen dollars. The bidding was ended when only one really wanted to bid for the painting who happens to be the gardener of the old man. The auctioneer revealed that anyone who is interested of the painting will take all the property of the old man including all other paintings he owned. Indeed, the best of life is full of ironies and only a pure heart could unlock the mysteries.

Names of Flowers

Names of flowers- collecting at least five names of flowers is one way of eliminating stress. I wanted to survey all kinds of flowers just to enjoy this day. I used to watch them grow before when flowers bloom in the garden. But now, I only see them in the web since I transferred to different places. Since I only know a little of those flowers, I decided to search through the Internet and learn names of flowers.

# 1 Anemone

Anemone have basal leaves with long petiole stems that can be upright or prostate, the foliage is simple or compound with lobed, parted, or undivided leaf blades. The leaf margins are entire or toothed.

# 2 Carnation

Carnation is the national flower of Spain, and the provincial flower of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. The state flower of Ohio is a scarlet carnation.

# 3 Gerbera Daisy

Gerbera is very popular and widely used as a decorative garden plant or as cut flowers. They vary greatly in shape and size. Colors include white, yellow, orange, red, and pink. The center of the flower is sometimes black. This flower is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds. This plant is resistant to deer.

# 4 Snapdragon

Snapdragons are perennial plants often sold as cold-season annual plants and do best in full or partial sun. Plant them in a soil that drains well to prevent the roots from rotting.

# 5 Star Gazer Lily

Star Gazer Lily has a fast growth rate and should be planted in full sun in well drained loamy or sandy soil. The flower is pink, red, and white, and is sweetly fragrant. The plant produces 4 to 5 flowers per stem.Stargazer Lilies are also poisonous to humans when ingested. They are said to cause nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. In some cases anaphylaxis occurs. In most cases people only suffer from severe diarrhea.

 Names of flowers are also commonly used as names of babies like Rose, Daisy, Hyacinth, and Lily. Some of my friends are named after flowers names. Obviously, the most common name based on a flower is Rose.

Green Zone Movie Review

Directed by Paul Greengrass, Greenzone is a very exciting piece. Matt Damon delivered his role excellently owing to his experiences in war movies. In this Greenzone movie review, we tend to link political decisions during Bush administration from fiction to reality. The questions asked in watching the movie could be: Is it real? Did Bush did that? What is the role of Poundsgate in executing the Bush policy in Iraq? Most of the scenes in the movie are breathtaking. The location seemed real and the actors stayed true to their roles. The setting and plot of Greenzone might have been an aftermath of Iraq invasion but the war scenes are still very interesting.

The movie became interesting when it allowed a decent Iraqi named Freddie love his country. He became the translator of Matt Damon's character Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller. At first, Freddie's actions and motives seemed suspicious. Later on, it would easy for viewers to realize that his real intention is to help his country gain stability. Like any other patriotic fellow, Freddie killed the person who knew later knew the truth that there were really no weapons of mass destruction. These alleged weapons of mass destruction stored in Iraq allowed Bush administration to intervene in Iraqi's political state. Many people were thinking who or what Magellan is including Chief Roy Miller himself, the Veteran CIA operative Marty, Wall Street Journal reporter Lawrie Dayne, and others. It was Veteran CIA operative Marty told Chief Roy Miller that the said weapons of mass destruction is not existing.


In the end, Chief Roy Miller realized that General Al Rawi is Magellan, the person linked to Poundsgate for telling a false story. Hence, he chased after the general and confirmed the truth. On the other hand, Poundsgate's men also chased after General Al Rawi's group to kill them and prevent the leakage of the political secret. But, it was Freddie who killed General Al Rawi telling Chief Roy Miller that it was not the latter who should decide on what happened in that situation. After all, Freddie just want a stable and peaceful country reflecting the intents of many Iraqis that they do not want their country to be led by a puppet of the American government. Chief Roy Miller was successful in his attempt to know the truth behind Magellan and forwarded documents as proof of the errors linked to the Magellan case.

Anti-Rabies For Our Dogs

Finally, the local authority in our place invited all dog owners for a free anti-rabies vaccine. Our Ice and Enzo are hesitant to go downstairs, and I do not know why. Some dog owners choose to wait for the doctor and others allowed their dogs to roam over the vicinity. Since our place is just right in front of the barangay hall, we just waited upstairs for the vet to call our attention. After an hour of waiting, the roll call began, and all of the dogs received anti-rabies immunization.
