Our Dog Enzo, My Bestfriend

| 16 July 2012
We consider dogs as best friends because of their loyalty to humans. Enzo, our white dog, has proven that he can be trusted in looking after our home. I can personally talk to him as if he is a friend. As of now, he can understand basic communication cues, including "sit down here," "wait for me," "eat now" and "sleep, close your eyes." Here's the alpha male in our home. :)

Dog Enzo is only one and a half years old. He only eats cooked chicken, pork and dog food. We don't feed him other food menu because he easily get allergies.

My Bestfriend Dog Enzo

| 15 June 2011
I know you want to know more about dog Enzo, my best friend. I'm not one of those who doesn't care for animals. Knowing the existence of individuals who aren't kind to these loving creatures, I'll stand firm to protect them. I can say, dogs are humans too. They can feel boredom. They're aware of their surroundings, sometimes even more accurate than mankind.

Caring For Your Pet

| 02 June 2011
For the past years, I have been writing about our sweet dog, Enzo. He's our guardian dog. We took him from a breeder and we've been told he's a Mountain dog or a Great Pyreenes. I'm so impressed with his behavior that's why I'd like to share a post on Caring For Your Pet.

Basically, I want Enzo to live for more than thirteen years, so topics about Caring For Your Pet are essential for me. I care for Enzo as if he's my best friend. Even though I'm so tired from work, I'll make sure he's okay. There was one time that he almost died, so we did our best to save his life. The situation needs a lot of money to pay the vet, thankfully, we got huge discount. Thanks to his kind vet.

He's allowed to roam in our small backyard and we made sure he's taken for a walk everyday. We made sure all his needs have been met while he's alive. In caring for your pet, it's also good to read laws about protecting our pets and as well as support events relating to their welfare. As a result, our dog grew up very sweet and loyal.

My World Is Shaking

| 01 January 2011
My excitement for the last two hours is visible. Mom prepared so many food and drinks for us to enjoy. Outside our house, people were busy preparing things for New Year. I've overheard somewhere during morning walks that New Year celebration must be special. That also explains my excitement.

When I was young, New Year isn't fun. I just stayed in my room and eat my share of spaghetti and fruit salad. Although I wasn't so happy at that time, I love the taste of spaghetti. Also, missing my buddy (now my cute boyfriend) added my "drama". That New Year, I just sleep and welcomes the next morning with ease.

This time, we don't have spaghetti. I wasn't disappointed, though. The carbonara recipe my Mom prepared is so delicious! As I'm eating my share, I look at my boyfriend with a smile. I'm thinking to take half of her share once she's done. By that time, my wish that she won't finish eating her carbonara will be granted.

I took some fruit salad in the counter. There's a piece of cake in the table, yet I chose to eat cookies. I stayed in a corner to enjoy the food. Now that I'm seven years old, I felt that New Year is special. I enjoy the music too. When I hear Charice Pempengco sing "Pyramid" and her "Glee" music, I feel like I'm in love.

Mom said that it's almost midnight. I'm so excited with the idea of facing a new year. That would be fun, I guess. However, I'm beginning to wonder what's going on outside our house. There's a huge fire, I'm not sure. Noise is also undeniable. Later on, it became to frightening like there's an incoming war! I heard that bombs were thrown everywhere like in the movie "Band of Brothers" that Mom always watch with Dad. There's a whistling sound, then a really huge 'bang" later on. My feet started to shake and I can no longer walk. Should I take my belongings and prepare for evacuation? How about my boyfriend who seems not afraid of the situation. It felt so strange. Maybe, I'll just pretend that it's not yet the end of the world.

Since I was so shaking out of unimaginable fear, Mom embraced me. That made me so calm and secured. I never thought that New Year isn't fun for a fearful dog like me. Yes, my name is Ice but it's so funny that I wasn't shaking because of cold ice, but because of New Year bombs like triangle, Super Lolo, fountain and many others.

That's me (in brown) and Enzo (white), my boyfriend.

Dog Blog Post

| 10 December 2010
I'm so excited to share this dog blog post over My Regency. Our dogs, Enzo and Ice, turned one this month. In dog years, that would mean they're seven years old. That explains their funny behavior and notable dog intelligence. They're not professionally trained but they always understand our requests.

The reason that we had these two pets is for protection or safety. They understood that very well. Enzo used to chase after rats, which amazed me. Ice used to protect us from insects. We're always warned in almost anything because they're there ready for their jobs. Since they used to bark like lunatics, people don't mess in our area. That's good for thieves to spare us, I think.

I want to share these photos of our dogs in these dog blog post.

What Happened Before This Post

| 19 July 2010
I realized that I have no post in this blog for a long time. At this time, I decided to just write a few things that happened before this post. I will just write it in a list form:

1. Last month, our dog Enzo got sick. We brought Enzo to his vet immediately knowing that it has been three days that he had not eaten food, and even have a taste of water. Days later, he's back again, running and playing within the lawn with Ice.He also learned what ("Ba-bye!) means, every time he would hear that word, he will go directly to where his leash is attached and stare at me for him to go out with a leash in his collar.

2. One of my favorite blog is April Athena's Blog. It's actually a beauty blog. What I like about this blog is the obvious enthusiasm of the blogger to share her beauty tips, sale, giveaways, news, and other matters related to beauty. Her Youtube video channel is also linked in her blog. I hope she post some product reviews with giveaways for international readers soon.

3. I watched Karate Kid with my husband to unwind. And then, we attended a birthday party of my friend's daughter. I enjoyed so much the party for the clowns are really, really funny. The video is also very captivating, nice view, and so accessible.

4. I started buying hanging plants yesterday. I also planted ampalaya last week. I really enjoyed growing vegetables in the backyard. Thankfully, our dogs just stayed in the front door for them not to play with my plants.

5. Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my friends in bloggers for visiting my blog once in a while. Before I close this post, I would like to share also this link (good for blogers who wants work-at-home jobs).
That's what happened before this post. Have a nice day!

Anti-Rabies For Our Dogs

| 26 March 2010
Finally, the local authority in our place invited all dog owners for a free anti-rabies vaccine. Our Ice and Enzo are hesitant to go downstairs, and I do not know why. Some dog owners choose to wait for the doctor and others allowed their dogs to roam over the vicinity. Since our place is just right in front of the barangay hall, we just waited upstairs for the vet to call our attention. After an hour of waiting, the roll call began, and all of the dogs received anti-rabies immunization.

Choosing The Best Dogs For Your Kids

| 09 February 2010
Over and over again, I would say that a dog is a man's best friend. There are things that made me believe in this saying.

First, dogs give fun and laughter. I already mentioned this words in my other blogs, and this is really true.

Second, dogs help me become stress-free. I really enjoy their company. I watch them grow and learn many things.

Third, dogs are amazing especially in times of emergency. My husband had a recent nightmare wherein our dog woke him up. The dog just heard him experiencing a nightmare and immediately jump into him.

And fourth, dogs are good security guards at home.

Parents may purchase dogs for their kids. But there are things to be learn before doing so. For those who are interested you may click here "Choosing The Best Dogs For Your Kids".
