Two years ago, my husband and I decided to relocate
to a smaller city in the southern part of the country. We sold our house and packed
up for the trip. We will travel with our dogs, Enzo and Ice. Later on, we
decided that I should travel
ahead of them so that I can find a place to stay and talk to a representative
of a car rental company that belongs to the Philippinescar rentals industry. We need a rented vehicle to
fetch my husband and the dogs upon arrival in the pier from Manila.
The things to prepare when traveling with dogs are
the latest rabies shots certification of the dog, cage, extra food and water
and other necessities. The rabies shots must be performed by the veterinarian
within three months before the trip so basically the certification should be
the latest one. Obviously, it’s for the safety of the owner, the other
passengers and of the dog.
It’s highly recommended to be on board a ship rather
than an airplane for the trip. Personally, I believe it’s safer for the dogs.
There are shorter trips nowadays so it is no longer challenging. Bring extra
food and water because supplies are expensive on board your favorite ship.
If you live far from the pier and you don’t have
your own car, be sure to hire a driver with a comfortable car for the trip to
your home. It will make you more comfortable and your dogs wouldn’t bark out
loud because of anxiety. Be sure to keep your traveling papers with you to have
a smooth arrival in the pier. The authorities will grant your access to the
arrival area while traveling with your pets.
