On Bidam, he appeared in the drama series when both Yushin Rang and Deokman were resting while a long trail of hiding from their enemies. Later on, he saved Deokman when the latter was surrounded with enemies. The next thing he did, he asked Deokman to confide to Munno, his master, that he helped both Yushin and Deokman. The heart of a young man who never had the chance of being with his great mother Lady Mishil and King Jinji was intertwined in the strength of another great person, Deokman. For many instances, he was so inspired with the way Deokman handled her fate. She was the only person who showed gratitude to him. She was the only person who accepted him with her whole heart. The kind of person Deokman is what binds her with Bidam in different circumstances knowing the unpredictability of Bidam.
On Deokman, she was grateful that Bidam considered her a woman. She enjoyed the person's company with much sincerity and enthusiasm. For so many times, Bidam saved Deokman no matter how difficult the circumstances may be. She showed great respect and trust for Bidam which created a stir to her followers and even enemies. For who was this man she fell in love with? Bidam is Lady Mishil's son, Deokman's foe. When Deokman became Queen, Bidam vowed to himself that he would take everything away from her, of course this was tainted with Lady Mishil's death by drinking poison. Bidam thought one way of getting everything he wants is to marry the Queen or seize the crown for himself to rule.
Is Bidam really a bad person when he led a rebellion against Queen Seon Deok? Looking back, there was no moment that his love faltered. Only when his mother, before its death, hinted an evil plan for him to accomplish, Bidam was swayed by her mother's followers to seize the crown. Despite the fact that he was a person who grew up with a blade and always ready to kill an enemy, he took care of his master before its death before anything else. Besides, he fulfilled his promise to Deokman before his last breath, to call her by her name- Deokman- as if their world is other than Shilla and the crown that was adorned in her head.
